Shire Mobility can supply both new and used mobility scooters to suit all budgets. Subject to acceptance, Shire Mobility can offer finance to assist spreading the cost of your purchase.

Warranty.

On all new scooters a 12 month warranty is offered as standard or you can purchase at additional cost, an extended warranty to cover your purchase for up to 3 years.

Used scooters over £500 are offered with a 3 month warranty covering the mechanical and electrical items with the exception of the tyres and batteries.

Boot Scooters / Transportable Scooters

As the name depicts – fits in the boot of your car. Easily dismantled into manageable units. The battery is usually the heaviest item at about 10kg. Max speed 4 mph. Models now available to carry up to 21 stone.

Class 2 Pavement scooters up to 4mph

Class 2 pavement scooters are full sized scooters with the capability to transport you up to 20 miles. They may be used on the pavements and to cross the public highway but…..

NOT TO BE USED FOR EXTENDED USE ON THE PUBLIC HIGHWAY.

Class 2 scooters have a maximum speed 4 mph and in most cases a user weight capacity of 21 stone.

Class 3 – Highway legal scooters:

Class 3 road legal scooters are generally large, full sized scooters with the capability to transport you in excess of 30 miles and have a switchable maximum speed of 8 mph. They may be used on the pavements with the speed restricted to 4 mph or on and along the public highway at 8 mph.

Class 3 scooters have a maximum speed of either 6 or 8 mph depending on make and model and in some cases have a user weight capacity of 32 stone.

Extended warranties and insurance and finance packages are also offered.
